Bro Zhongli is still doing things we can’t see 😭 he built a nation that can run itself, they govern themselves and if they need advice Ningguang would go to him for advice discreetly. He’s protecting them from danger from the shadows. He’s stepped back because he felt his nation didn’t need his governing anymore. He’s technically “dead” for one. Only a handful of people know he faked his death and if he’s used his power at max, it would give away that he’s still alive. And two, he agreed to a contract before we arrived in Liyue. In the contract he was to not tell us anything and told us that’s the only thing he could tell us AT THAT MOMENT. Frustrating yeah. But he’s been around for YEARS. His contracts are precise. Right down to the final print. He’s been manipulating Teyvat in his favour. To him this is a chess game and he’s been waiting to make his move. He will by any means make sure they’re fulfilled. He’s the oldest, wisest, and strongest. Do you know how hyped I was when he said “The Final Contract must be fulfilled” in the trailer. WE FINALLY GET TO KNOW WHAT IT IS. WHAT HE COULDNT TELL US. THE KIND OF POWER HE’LL UNLEASH. He’s gonna ignite something new in the traveller, I just know it. I can’t stand Zhongli slander 😭 if you don’t like him as an archon, clearly you haven’t paid close attention to the lore.

he is always there in a crisis. if it was necessary, he would intervene, but he prefers for his people, including adpeti, to learn how to survive a crisis. same with Venti. they both have that mentality to let their children learn how to walk on their own.
