Any further restrictions that increase daily transportation costs, fuel consumption, and traffic-related difficulties will directly affect the livelihoods of ordinary citizens, particularly the poor and middle-class families. More than 5,000 people are directly or indirectly dependent on H-9 Bazaar for their livelihoods. Keeping the bazaar closed does not only affect shopkeepers and stall owners; it also impacts daily-wage workers, transporters, suppliers, vendors, and thousands of families whose household expenses depend on this business activity.
