@stormcat5_: After looking at the data, it appears the Learjet that crashed in Palm Beach, Florida today experienced serious icing after flying into the updraft of a growing Thunderstorm. Here's what we know 👇 - The plane was a Learjet 60 flying from Austin to North Eleuthera, Bahamas - It Went down around PM near Military Trail in Greenacres - The crew reported turbulence, icing and precipitation at 35,000 ft and asked to climb - DS-B data shows a dive from about 35,000 ft to 8,750 ft in roughly one minute, in a tightening right turn - Storms with heavy rain and lightning were moving across Palm Beach County at the time of the crash All 9 people on board were killed. The NTSB and FAA are investigating, and the cause has NOT been determined. God please be with the families of those killed.
