i think people forget that the traveller is always ready at any time to dip with the abyss sibling. The traveller does not have the deepest connection to teyvat abd really just here doing something while waiting for the abyss sibling.

teppei was immature but that's what made him relatable to me, of course not the whole character, but he was excited about war, about glory set by his society for him to become a hero, and while trapped in his own hopes and dreams he used the delusion, not knowing what was happening to him because true, he got into a shady business, but he didn't know the effects or understand them, they were described as slight fatigue to him nothing more. it's ok to not feel bad for teppei, but think about what he represents, how many dreams were crushed by the fatui for NO reason, they could have become a different organization, there was so much unnecessary evil coming from them though their intentions are noble. in this case I believe means do not justify the end.

We knew from a long time that traveler doesn’t want to be a hero and doesn’t follow a moral compass. We befriended childe right away after everything tgat happened in liyue. We agreed to steal the idk artifact from frostmoon after seeing rerir disguised as our sibling. Traveler tried multiple times to refuse to help ppl even when they were in need bc traveler just didn’t want to help. Don’t forget that traveler is considered a visitor to this world and at first they didn’t care about teyavt and admitted they cared after 8 nations, and maybe just maybe if traveler was given the choice of leaving teyvat immediately with their sibling they would choose it
