I generally don't like all the hate towards indie animations. Like, I understand that a lot of recent indie animations have turned out to be bad, but that doesn't mean every new pilot is going to be the same. People immediately start complaining as soon as they hear about anything related to indie animation.

Tbf, TADC did hurt the indie animation but KOG is bringing it back. I liked what TADC was / could’ve been but we should’ve be blind to the fact that TADC did cause some damage

To be fair, the merchandise thing is a valid criticism since you can’t just instantly merchandise an animation especially if it only consists of a pilot, if they do have the money to invest in merchandise production then ok, whatever. the actual issue is when they just immediately throw merch at the wall instead of trying to see if it’ll stick first so it feels like it’s just toys with a cartoon slapped on like my little pony
