I have this uhm theory or head cannon but whatever. Since JJK have some religious implications or reference (for example, something about Buddha) I also relate it to Christianity, specifically in Catholicism. So in roman Catholic, whenever someone dies and it's finally the final burial where they held mass in the church, the family of the person that died can wear two colors; black and white. And there's actually a meaning behind it. If they wear white, that means that they have accepted the loss of their loved and is ready to move on. Black, on the other hand, represents immense grief, hence refusing to accept the death of that person, and is unable to move forward. And if we apply this logic to the color switch of his bandage and blindfold, don't u think it makes sense too? After Hidden Inventory Arc, he accepted that Suguru is not coming back after having his final resolve. But after Geto's death in JJK 0, we can see him wearing the "black" blindfold, symbolizing that he never really moved on. From time to time, thinking about his blue spring of youth. And his refusal to move on, came back biting on him in the Shibuya Incident. You might say I am a delulu, but if you have read the manga, you'll find out that Gojo set his mind on following Geto (death on December 24, becoming a "monster" like Geto, and so on).
