On Monday, the co-pilot's family identified her as 20-year-old Nathalia Filgueiras. According to her family, Filgueiras was co-piloting a Learjet 60 from Austin, Texas, to the Bahamas when the aircraft began to plummet and crashed on South Military Trail between Cresthaven Boulevard and 10th Avenue in Greenacres. Filgueiras had logged 88 flight hours before earning her private pilot's license in 2023. Filgueiras died Sunday afternoon with eight others in the fiery plane crash that killed all nine people on board. The crash happened around 12:50 p.m. on South Military Trail between Cresthaven Boulevard and 10th Avenue North. Flames erupted along the roadway as thick smoke billowed into the sky. Witnesses reported hearing a loud boom that could be heard for miles. The crash occurred near several businesses.
