@eaglesaviationclub4: Nine lives were lost Sunday when a Learjet 60 (N722BD) flying from Austin to the Bahamas went down in Palm Beach County, Florida. We rebuilt the final minutes using only public flight-tracking and weather radar data. The data shows the jet crossing a line of thunderstorms at 35,000 ft, then descending more than 26,000 ft in about 67 seconds. The cause is not known. The NTSB is leading the investigation, and official findings will come from investigators, not speculation. Our deepest condolences to the families.
