Worst division winner shouldn’t be guaranteed a top 4 seed. Sure if they have a good enough record they can but, there’s no reason a 8-9 team should be hosting a 12-5 one.

If your entire division is under .500 then you shouldn’t be given an automatic playoff spot. Wouldn’t be fair if the entire NFC north doesn’t make the playoffs if we keep playing like this

Divisional rivalries would still exist. The playoffs are not a tournament of the best teams because of the automatic bid. Every year better teams miss the playoffs because of this. There has to be a way to keep the rivalries but also make it so the best teams are advancing.
