These should be reused so that we can create a loop for our subway system. Our hub and spoke system is outdated and doesn’t offer any advantages over a loop system

These could make future expansion much cheaper! Believe these tunnels in particular were looked at for older Silver Line plans when it was supposed to be light rail, and if the bus service was to be wholly or partly converted, they’d probably be revamped just like that — a bit pricy, but much cheaper than starting from scratch!

my dad was an inspector for the MBTA contractor inspector I should say and he works for the MBTA himself not a contractor for over 40 years and I got to know the streets of Boston I used to go with them on Friday nights and I got to know a lot of the guys I got to drive the trains a few times and I got to sit up with the drivers and they even got the announce the stops a lot of times I was blessed to be part of that I saw those old tunnels back in the day they weren't really awesome I got to go in them and see them I'm probably the biggest I don't share it as much as I used to anymore but I'm probably one of the biggest die hard MBTA train green blue orange and red riders you'll ever find him your lifetime I did it in the in the '80s and '90s I rode most of my time I used to skip school to ride the subway just to go on the subway to ride it I love it so much and now to be a part of it and see what I am seeing for myself on Instagram tiktok Facebook and stuff like that what other people are seeing today I saw you know 20 30 40 years ago I was on at the bless to see all those things I used to go to the city yards in Everett and with the old MBTA City ideas where all the buses were the old beat up buses and they used to pretend I was driving them it was pretty cool I used to love those things I used to love them I still do I still do I would do anything to visit them again you know it's like a fire station you know when you get older you'll never and if I station never gets old you could go in there and look at the trucks compared to what they used to have is really awesome but I'm glad I was able to spend time with my dad I spent you know every Friday night for 11 years I went with them it was really cool got to know a lot of Great Men a lot of great guys and miss those days that's when the subway was like 50 cents laugh out loud but thank you for sharing I hope you do share and looking forward to watching more of this
