@spiralstudio.com: reading human life through nature. 🦅 today's lesson: the eagle and what it can teach us about renewal. i've been thinking about how impatient we become with ourselves when we're trying to change.we make a promise to become better, more disciplined, more confident, more emotionally mature. and then one difficult day brings back an old habit, and suddenly we feel like we've made no progress at all. but eagles don't replace all their feathers overnight. they renew them gradually, while continuing to fly.and i've been realizing how often i expect myself to become a completely different person before allowing myself to enjoy the life i already have. sometimes i still react in ways i thought i'd outgrown. sometimes i understand exactly what i should do and still struggle to do it.but growth isn't about never returning to an old version of ourselves. it's about slowly learning not to stay there. spiral studio
