i’m a pharm tech at Walg. where are yall getting the info that the pharmacies are open on these holidays this year? the only ones that will be open are the 24 pharmacies . non 24 hour pharmacies will not be open on major holidays like Thanksgiving, Christmas & new years

My dad worked retail and was open Thanksgiving. He said he didn’t mind filling rxs for people being discharged from the hospital. But people would bring in refills and say “I hate that you have to work today” to which he’d say, “I wouldn’t have to if you could plan better”. 😏

Also, even for the locations that are open, we can not transfer a prescription from a pharmacy that is closed. plan ahead people.

Walgreens will be opened those days with slightly reduced hours. We used to have holidays off with pay but because of corporate greed we're forced to be open.

My pharmacy was open every holiday. We just had shorter hours. We were open for Christmas for about 15 years. If you worked you get paid triple time. We never had any problems having people volunteer.
