MY HUMAN SATURNIAN MOON DESIGNS!!!!! Wow!!!! What a mouthful!! I teased these a REALLY long time ago and kind of put them off for a while to work on other things, but here they are!!! ENJOY!!! MIMAS - The smallest of Saturn's major moons, and also the closest!! Though hard to notice, the crater on her surface, Herschel crater, is the second largest crater relative to its parent body in the entire solar system (only beaten out by a crater you'll see later) measuring roughly a third of her entire diameter!!! ENCELADUS - The most reflective body in the ENTIRE SOLAR SYSTEM!! Only absorbing 1% of the sunlight that hits it, they reflect the other 99% back into space due to their fresh water ice surface constantly replenished by their cryovolcanic activity!!! (ice volcanoes) And just like Europa, they also have strong evidence for a salty subsurface ocean kept warm by tidal forces with Saturn!! Could there be life here too? DIONE - covered in wispy cracks, cliffs, and faults, her surface is theorized to be split and parted due to ancient long-ceased tectonic activity.... RHEA - the most uniform of the three, she's heavily cratered, but definitely not as much as Mimas.... she was also initially theorized to have rings, but further studies eventually ruled out the hypothesis... bummer!! TETHYS - the smallest of the clones, the crater on her head, Odysseus crater, is the largest relative to its parent body in the whole solar system, measuring about 42% of her diameter!! She's also just about as dense as pure water ice, so unlike Saturn, who wouldn't actually float on water (sorry...!) she just might! TITAN - The largest and most interesting moon of Saturn, they're the second largest moon in the entire solar system, being even larger than Mercury!!!!! They're also the only moon we know of with a dense atmosphere, being even denser than the atmosphere here on Earth!!!! In 2005, NASA and ESA launched the joint Cassini-Huygens (Cuh-SEE-nee HOY-genz) mission to Saturn, with the Huygens probe landing on Titan and showing us the first images of a surface beyond the inner solar system.... Titan is also the only other body in the solar system we know of with stable liquid on their surface with lakes, seas, and an entire

Titan is also the only other body in the solar system we know of with stable liquid on their surface with lakes, seas, and an entire "water" cycle comprised entirely of methane!!!!! IAPETUS The third largest and farthest of Saturn's spherical moons, Iapetus is strangely two-toned as the side facing away from Saturn is consistently stained by material from the elusive Phoebe ring, Saturns largest and least dense ring made entirely of dark dust particles..... she also has a mountain range roughly along her equator taller than Mount Everest the whole way around!!! It makes her look like a walnut. CHRYSALIS - A hypothetical ice moon theorized to have crossed Saturn's Roche limit long ago, being torn apart into the wide ring system we see today. Theorized to be roughly as large as Iapetus, only 1% of her mass remained after her destruction to form the ring system with the other 99% being theorized to have fallen into Saturn, talk about dandruff... Thank you for reading all the way to the end! I hope you learned something... and for my last gift.... hashtags #planethumans #oc #gijinka #planets #solarsystem
