Love in survival mode, obligation/ expectation to keep conformity Vs love that is consciously chosen based on one’s values, unique quirks and individuality of the person. I’ve noticed the former type of love, kids *are* the end goal and purpose of the marriage, keeps it together like glue and something mutual to bond over, so the kids are very necessary to coexist; and the latter, kids are a byproduct of the love that already exists, it’s not a marriage centred on their raising, but a genuine companionship (the couple can’t wait for the kids to grow up, leave home and experience their own lives) so they can get back to the joy of one another uninterrupted

that's very true coz seeing people confess their love or hold hands ar show their love makes me cringe and this made me realise that I need to heal my self and every day there is new topic that needs to deal with to make peace with your self 😂

I have parents who love each other, are very vocal about their love, yet I turned out to be someone who fears relationships and is extremely distant 😂 I don't know wtf went wrong 😭
