@couriercalifornia: Courier California's Michelle Zacarias sat down with Deja Foxx on Foxx’s podcast, CANDID, to break down the latest Justice Department move on California’s mail ballots. A federal judge has rejected the DOJ’s emergency bid to stop California from counting ballots from 20,000+ voters it calls “likely” noncitizens, the latest in a string of DOJ election moves critics say are built on shaky ground. California officials note the number DHS flagged over the summer was 190,000 before DOJ’s list dropped to 20,000. In Nevada, the federal government flagged nearly 16,000 possible noncitizens, but the state found all of them were U.S. citizens. DOJ says California made no serious effort to work with it and has appealed.
