If they expect you to have a fixed definition of who you are, there’s a good chance those people don’t know who they are. Because if they learned who they are, they would realize how much they are is changing and inconsistent and may not have a fixed answer themselves; and that they might have to hold out that towards others as well, especially when they come asking you who you are. Your likes and dislikes are a part of who you are. Humans are just exceptionally good at contorting language into self-doubt amongst one another. In the long run, we are all going to expand one another and destroy one another.
