@celebritytalks71: they ate this up Sabrina Carpenter and Amber Mark brought a beloved movie couple back to life for Halloween 2026, dressing as Penny Pingleton and Seaweed J. Stubbs from the 2007 musical film Hairspray. Sabrina recreated Penny's signature blonde beehive hairstyle and floral blue dress, while Amber perfectly captured Seaweed's retro style with a brown suit and carefully styled hair. In the original film, the characters were portrayed by Amanda Bynes and Elijah Kelley, whose on screen romance became one of the movie's most memorable relationships. Their love story was particularly meaningful because it challenged the racial prejudice and segregation of 1960s Baltimore, where the musical takes place. Fans have also been amused by the comparison between the original characters and Sabrina and Amber, particularly how their height difference appears to be reversed. The costumes were a nostalgic tribute to a film that continues to be celebrated for its music, characters, and message of acceptance. #sanrinacarpenter
