I get what you're saying, but sometimes the Dr's don't run the complete panel. I have a low thyroid, my husband has a low thyroid, both my daughter's had goiters. One had graves, one had a benign tumor. Sometimes it's a fight to get it properly diagnosed.

I get this question all the time. My neck looks exactly like yours. I’ve had imaging, including ultrasounds, and plenty of blood tests. Thyroid is fine. But my sibling had theirs removed because of crazy bad Hashimoto’s.

I’m sure they mean well, but it’s annoying hearing it all the time. I’m a person who doesn’t go to the doctor but I needed a doctors exam to get my cataract surgery. Well the doctor asked me how long I had the lump on my neck and I asked “what lump?” Turns out I had to get thyroid removed because it was suspicious for cancer! Turned out ok.
