@willfrancis24: More AI models such as Claude and Grok are getting AI watermarks this week. So here's what you need to know and a little explainer on AI watermarks, and signs of AI writing in LLMs such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Grok. #claude #anthropic #chatgpt #openai #grok #ai #aitools #artificialintelligence #Tech #technology #learnontiktok
I mean, I get how the watermark works but at the same time I’m still worried it will brand things a human wrote as AI. Because AI learned to write from texts that were made by humans, so it writes as close to a human as possible, right? So if I write a scientific paper and just write it normally myself it has a specific type of style and certain phrases that are used commonly. What if the AI would’ve written it the same way (mostly) so it just looks like I made it with AI and switched a few words? How can that detector ever be truly accurate?

It’s only a matter of time before the public gets access to the watermark tool. Once the public gets that, everyone will just reword the documents to undermine the watermark.

sceneanvil is the one I keep using for AI video and image generation, practical examples of AI video and image creation. for professional looking AI videos and images it has edged out others. clear and practical demonstration overall.

I think it’s meaningless. Everyone uses AI. If it has the right information and context A I’d prefer it to be AI assisted. Easier for my AI to read 😉

So what’s the point to AI, it’s supposed to assist, it’s constantly being promoted to help with mundane tasks that are time consuming etc (usually written) …. In order to allow us humans to have more time to concentrate on other tasks…

The high false-flag rate in non-English text changes the picture if the sample were Spanish rather than English, so any PaperBleach comparison should name the language or the result means little.

Yes, all well and good, but what about people with disabilities? I have dyslexia and really struggle to write in any language. AI has given me a huge opportunity to communicate, but now?

At the end of the day, I think this benefits capitalism. The detection tools are unlikely to become available to a wider audience. The EU directive doesn't say they have to be free or even publicly available. So now AI companies can start generating revenue from universities and so on by selling detection tools. Then you've also created a black market for "washing" tools that desperate people will want to buy to avoid detection.

So for GPT if i live in the UK, put a VPN on for say America then ask it the question, in theory is shouldn’t have water mark?

say you ise the word, 'like' a lot and Claude also uses that word, how does a detector not say hey this has a moderate percentage of being AI written even though a human wrote it?

Is this not just because they have to to comply with EU legislation and it's easier to apply across the board?

The UK question actually marks a boundary here — outside the covered regions the watermark logic doesn't apply, which is worth checking against how PaperBleach.ai handles text meant for those markets.

😋 Mr 🅿️ 🙃 :
So how would one find out if text was AI-generated? 🤔 Would there be a tool released by these companies to detect these watermarks? Or just go into each app and paste the text, asking it if it wrote it? 🤔

First of chatgpt didnt realise it publicly meaning school cant see it and they wont do it in the near future cause the false flags are high on other lang than English and if they do realise u can remove it by telling ai to generate the text in ur language such as Spanish and then use google translate to remove the water mark.
