A lot of people don’t understand why I’m going so hard for @Abdul El-Sayed right now. I’m going to tell you a little story that will help you with that. My twins were born in South Africa during COVID. Cape Town to be exact. It was a black African Muslim man that signed us out of the hospital and drove us home. I begged this man to wait on me. I asked him to come into the hospital and pretend like he was my partner so we could leave. I was scared and alone. It was one of the most stressful times in my life. That man showed me care and compassion. He was the only reason I was able to leave that hospital that day. I will be eternally grateful for his act of kindness. After 9/11 people I grew up with were spoon fed that Muslims were bad and we should hate Muslims. When that man helped me that day I instantly thought this is what Jesus would do. Jesus called us to love our neighbors (especially the ones that don’t look like us or speak like us). Our Muslim brothers and sisters could use some of that care right now. I grew up during the WWJD movement. I had the bracelet. I was a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. I keep asking myself what would Jesus do? I keep coming back to help people. I’ve never met Abdul El-Sayed but he seems like a good guy that actually cares about this country. I don’t care that he’s a Muslim and neither should you. Jesus wouldn’t care. He would care about what this person is going to do with their power and how they have shown you they would lead. I’m not from Michigan. I’m from Indiana. I can’t vote for him but if you’re up there you should. We need more people like him that actually care about the American people in office. Much love to all of you. Go Vote!
