📍 CARNITAS LOS CUATRO HERMANOS Springdale, AR . One of America's best Mexican restaurants is hiding in a Springdale neighborhood?! 🌮👀 . We first heard about @Carnitas Los cuatro hermanos was featured in The New York Times' list of 41 great Mexican restaurants in America. And honestly, we probably wouldn't have known about it otherwise. . Tucked away in a residential neighborhood in Springdale, Arkansas, it's primarily a butcher shop and Mexican grocery store... that just happens to serve some seriously good tacos. . Here's what makes it interesting: there's no set menu. They work with whatever meats and cuts they have available, so you never really know exactly what you'll find. . We've made Taco Tuesdays our go-to because the tacos are cheaper (and we're always down for a deal 😂). On this visit, we had lengua, pork stomach, al pastor, carne asada, and my personal creation: a mystery pork taco. I literally just asked them to chop up a mix of whatever pork parts they had and put it in a taco. No further questions. 😂 . And PLEASE don't underestimate these tacos. They're absolutely HEFTY. I thought three would be a reasonable meal, but by the third one I was STRUGGLING. . The carnitas are also SO good, but fair warning - they're often sold out by the evening, so don't count on getting them if you show up late. . You can even get your grocery shopping done while you're there, which makes the whole setup even more interesting. . Apparently, Carnitas Los Cuatro Hermanos has been around for ages, and we love that this little neighborhood spot is finally getting some national recognition. ❤️ . Have you been here?
