@bigmikesellskc: What didn't fit in the video: this was the most-asked corner on Sundays post, so here's the whole file. The corner: Maple Park Plaza, approximately 13.76 acres at the northwest corner of NE 48th and North Randolph. The developer's letter to the city council (August 2025) describes an approximately 11,000-square-foot market store, 5,000 square feet of mixed retail, and a 100,000-square-foot industrial building - and says the site sat vacant for years because of what it costs to prepare the ground. The city approved the plat in February 2024 and the Maple Park Community Improvement District in October 2025: a 1.25% extra sales tax inside the district for up to 20 years, with the proceeds going to parking that stays open to the public. Grading was permitted May 2025. No tenant is named anywhere in the file - and no Casey's. The only new Northland Casey's on record is Staley Corners, already open. Down the same road: a new Hunt Midwest warehouse (Logistics VII, 8701 NE 48th) got its building permit in August. And the Google campus - announced at $1 billion, about 1,435,000 square feet over four phases - runs under the code name "Shalerock" in all 60 of its permits. First building's certificate of occupancy: July 28. Office building: September 2. Buildings 3A and 4A: under construction, newest permits filed this past Thursday and Friday. The substations are named Blucifer and Thoroughbred. Keep dropping intersections on Sundays post. Most-asked becomes the next video - that's the deal.
