I never heard of misdemeanor dbv charge… they’re usually felonies.. I guess they are charging the old man but they are going super easy on him. It would be a felony if anyone else was driving

The guy is 79 years old, I highly doubt either person were paying much attention. It was an ACCIDENT regardless. The old man is probably completely destroyed from it and has to live with it all day everyday in every moment he breathes and is "alive". That's punishment in itself already. If it were me he ran over or a family member I'd forgive him. What is punishment for something that happened because he had his mind elsewhere and was so used to riding through Walmart he never thought he'd hit a random stranger. It's tragic yes but to me it seems like both were negligent in ways. know your surroundings at all times. When it's time for me to go then God can take me, nobody is promised tomorrow and to punish someone who's sober and elderly isn't going to fix it. They need to cut those damn bushes down you can't see!
