I went through a massive amount of DV with my children’s father…… it is sad to say the children actually saw a lot to the extent. I ended up in a wheelchair for 18 months because my right knee he snapped backwards…… if you ask my children where’s your dad? They tell people he died years ago they don’t have anything to do with him and that’s not me putting anything in their mouth. or head it’s what they’ve seen for their self.

as a child my biological dad was the same. and I thought it was great until I got older and realised it wasn't so great. my mum never commented or told me anything or said anything because she knew I would see it for myself one day. and I am really grateful my mum didn't say anything until I Started asking her questions only then thats when she would be truthful and say it how it is because I asked...kids will learn by themselves trust me. its annoying for you at the time but truth always appears eventually

I've never said a bad word about my babydaddy. but my son knew who was there day in/out. he is 17 now works hard. kids see a lot more than we think

Omg i so get this!!! My boys dad would see them once a year and the boys would come back buzzing because he took them to mc Donald’s or something and I always felt bad for feeling angry because I do everything and he does something I do so often and he’s amazing. It just shows how little their opinion is of them and expectation of that parent. They hold us to a higher standard and rightly so! My boys are all teenagers now and they know exactly what their ‘dad’ is and they look after me, they always speak so highly of me. X

It’s something you definitely learn when you’re older! My dad left when I was 4 and I hate him for never fighting for us and being the dad we needed. Now I’m parentless fucked them both of🤣 xxx
