@chase.newyorkcity: The Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree arrives in NYC on Saturday, November 7! The countdown to Christmas in New York City is officially on! The world-famous Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree is making its way to Midtown Manhattan this Saturday, kicking off the holiday season at one of NYC’s most iconic landmarks. This year’s 76-foot Norway spruce comes from West Edmeston, New York, and is approximately 75 years old! Here’s what to know if you’d like to welcome the tree to NYC: 🎄 TREE ARRIVAL 📅 Saturday, November 7 📍 Rockefeller Plaza, Midtown Manhattan 🎁 MEET THE TREE DAY ⏰ 10 AM–1 PM Enjoy a free, family-friendly celebration featuring holiday workshops, festive photo opportunities, arts and crafts, and appearances by Care Bears characters. The event is free and open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis. Expedited, confirmed entry is also available with a special ticket package. IMPORTANT: The exact time the tree will arrive and be raised into position has not been announced. The 10 AM–1 PM timeframe is for the Meet the Tree celebration, not a confirmed arrival time. ✨ WHAT HAPPENS NEXT? The tree will spend the next several weeks being secured into place and decorated with more than 50,000 multicolored LED lights, approximately five miles of wiring, and its iconic Swarovski crystal star. The official Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony takes place on: 📅 Wednesday, December 2 ⏰ 7–10 PM This is when the tree will be illuminated for the very first time! So if you’re visiting on November 7, remember that the tree will NOT be decorated or lit just yet. @Rockefeller Center 📍 Rockefeller Plaza, 30 Rockefeller Plaza, New York, NY Save this post for your NYC Christmas bucket list and follow along for more holiday events, Christmas tree arrivals, and things to do in New York City! #christmas RockefellerCenter #RockefellerChristmasTree #NYCChristmas #ChristmasInNewYork NYCHolidayEvents #newyorkcity nycguide nyctourism

FUN FACT! 🎄 Did you know? After the holiday season, the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree is traditionally donated to Habitat for Humanity. The lumber is milled and used to help build homes for families in need. So even after Christmas is over, the tree continues to give back!
