@weatherondafly: 🚨🌪️ TORNADO WATCH #701 ISSUED FOR PARTS OF KANSAS, OKLAHOMA & TEXAS 🌪️🚨 The Storm Prediction Center has issued Tornado Watch #701, effective until 10:00 PM CST, for portions of: 📍 Central & Southern Kansas 📍 Western & Central Oklahoma 📍 Northwest Texas A volatile severe weather environment is expected to support the development of scattered thunderstorms this afternoon and evening, with storms rapidly intensifying as they move across the watch area. ⚠️ PRIMARY THREATS 🌪️ A few tornadoes possible, including a couple of intense tornadoes 💨 Damaging straight-line winds up to 75 mph possible 🧊 Large hail likely, with isolated hailstones reaching 2 inches in diameter ⛈️ Storms are expected to begin with a significant hail threat before transitioning into a more dangerous severe weather mode later this afternoon and evening.
