This is too simple unfortunately. Ppl don’t choose ppl based on value when their mental health needs are too loud. The longer you go ignoring those needs the more validation from the wrong ppl you will chase. I’ve watched the most intelligent ppl date ppl that validated an insecurity while they ignored how they were plaguing their life. It all depends on what your narrative for yourself is and where you get your validation. That will determine who you date

You know, this narrative is part of the problem. Because what I hear on the other side of the fence is “gosh life is so such easier without a woman, they do nothing but drag you down”. The problem is not one side or the other. It is mindset. Too often people get together for a good time and to see how the ride of life is. But it’s not a damn roller coaster. It’s a journey, if you don’t pick someone with the skills to complement your own skill set, it’s just going to be “baby sitting” for as long as until one of you stops and says hey, maybe something isn’t working here. Society has a long way to go.
