The thing that really gets me is people getting upset at the traffic controller, asking what she needs. This isn’t a stupid question. Everyone in the situation knows that plane is going down and there is literally nothing. The air traffic controller can do to stop it. Sometimes all you can do is be there. And you gotta say let that person who is going to pass away no, you will do everything you can to support them in this final moment. We see this all the time in healthcare.
