☁️🚀 AZURE DEVOPS EXPLAINED: CI/CD WITH AZURE PIPELINES ⚠️ EDUCATIONAL DISCLAIMER: This content is strictly for educational purposes, cloud computing knowledge, and software development awareness. Practical exercises should be performed in authorized lab environments using projects and accounts you control. Protect credentials, never expose access tokens or secrets in public repositories, and review potential cloud costs before deploying resources. 🌐 WHAT IS AZURE DEVOPS? Azure DevOps is a platform that helps development teams plan projects, manage source code, automate testing, and deploy applications efficiently. ### 🔑 8 KEY CONCEPTS YOU SHOULD KNOW 1️⃣ Azure Boards Plan projects, create tasks, track bugs, and monitor development progress. 2️⃣ Azure Repos Host source code using Git, manage branches, and collaborate through pull requests. 3️⃣ Azure Pipelines Automate building, testing, and deploying applications whenever code changes. 4️⃣ Continuous Integration (CI) Automatically build and test code changes to identify problems early. 5️⃣ Continuous Delivery and Deployment (CD) Automate the process of preparing and releasing tested software to different environments. 6️⃣ Azure Artifacts Store and share software packages used by development projects. 7️⃣ Azure Test Plans Organize manual and exploratory testing and track test results. 8️⃣ Pipeline Agents and Environments Agents execute pipeline jobs, while environments help organize and control deployments to development, testing, and production systems. ### 🔄 HOW A CI/CD PIPELINE WORKS A typical workflow looks like this: 📝 Plan a task → 💻 Write code → 📦 Commit to Git → 🧪 Build and test → 🚀 Deploy → 📊 Monitor results. Automation helps teams deliver changes more consistently while identifying errors earlier in the development process. ### 🛡️ SECURITY PRINCIPLES FOR DEVOPS 🔹 Store secrets securely instead of hardcoding them in source code. 🔹 Apply least-privilege permissions to users and service connections. 🔹 Review code changes before merging them. 🔹 Scan dependencies and test applications for vulnerabilities. 🔹 Protect deployment pipelines against unauthorized changes. 🔹 Monitor logs and deployment activity. 🎯 KEY LESSON: DevOps is more than deploying code. It combines collaboration, automation, testing, and continuous improvement to deliver reliable software. Start with Git, Linux, scripting, and basic CI/CD concepts. Then build a small project and practise automating its testing and deployment. 🔐 HACKWITHBANKS | CLOUD, DEVOPS & CYBERSECURITY EDUCATION #Hackwithbanks #AzureDevOps #azure #CICD #DevOps - @hackswithbanks4
