fun fact: this was a really bad landing [obviously but also technically]. when he is pitched down in the beginning: falling = gaining speed = generating MORE lift. he needs to pitch up, and reduce the throttle. pitching up will generate moderate drag, slowing the plane, in addition to reducing throttle will reduce the quantity of air being compressed under the wing (called lift) - the combined reduced throttle and added drag is what lands the plane: not flying towards the ground.
