It’s literally less expensive for me to just pay out-of-pocket

I had it and they randomly canceled it and they have no idea why it was canceled and now they want over a grand for the months that it was canceled. I’m over it

In Canada 🇨🇦 there’s universal public healthcare for all Canadians paid for through taxes. They give you a health card and you just need to show it to your healthcare provider and they bill the government. The healthcare wait times is long in rural areas but in cities like Toronto you can typically see a doctor in less than a week or the same day for urgent issues

I’m 27 & haven’t had it in two years! I go to a primary doctor regularly doing self pay. Self pay discounts are very affordable! I’ve also been to the er and had a 90% “self pay discount”

My husband works for a small company (about 100 ppl) and for our family of 3 to be on his work insurance it’s $1200 a month!!! We self pay because it’s cheaper than paying monthly premiums and deductible

What does a premium mean? What’s a deductible? Why do I have to pay when they take 300 every week

Most hospitals have discounts for self-pay patients!!! I used to work in a hospital and some people get 100% off but usually 30%-70% off average if they don’t have insurance.

It’s too expensive if you’re not part of an employer plan, and even then it’s costly. I pay $97 biweekly with a 6K deductible, which is not awful but it would be so much to get a marketplace rate or something not tied to my employment.

some states make you pay a tax penalty if you don’t have health insurance🧍♀️you’d end up having to pay the same amount if not more w your tax return
