Sounds a lot like me when I found I had celiac. It took 5 years to get diagnosed. My GI thought I had IBS but thankfully he wanted to do an endoscopy to be sure it was nothing else.

ive not been to the IM doctor but if you go to a GI i bet you could just say you want a endoscopy and colonoscopy and theyd probably do it for you if you explain your history

Some of your symptoms match endo involvement of your bowel potentially. That’s what was diagnosed for me after excision surgery. Idk if you needed advice, & I know I wish I knew what to say

I’m so sorry. It’s a shitshow. Actual advice: Clearly state how it’s impacting your quality of life and ability to do what you normally do, especially work. Exaggerate if you need to, but not with adjectives, use specifics and quantify it. Describe how it’s been getting worse. Unfortunately, give credit to other providers and men. My husband said he noticed… I had a previous provider who thought it was (blank) but we didn’t end up going down that route.

I took Slynd for Endo and it caused those issues as well for over a year....stopped Slynd (prep for my hysterectomy) and I stopped having the diarrhea!

If you have an endoscopy ask them to test for celiac and h.pylori. maybe consider a SIBO test if symptoms match

I have advice you won’t like but it helped. I brought my husband with. This same doctor that was dismissing everything I said all of a sudden was all ears. He didn’t even say anything!

I had an otherwise super healthy patient on a study who was experiencing this. We assumed it was side effect. PA randomly decided to order some fecal tests just to be safe….. it was c-diff.

Blood in the stool will get you a scope 9.9/10 times. Makes sure to ask for them to take biopsies - not all inflammation is visible with the camera and can only be seen under the microscope.

Have you given up gluten? This was me 8 years ago! Also parasites! Doing a parasite cleanse helped as well. But you will need an integrative doctor.
