@profitpurposeprudence: Replying to @Don Isaac How much should you pay for independent living home referrals? 🏠 Here’s what we do. We typically pay around $150, based on half of our community or program fee. I’ve heard of people charging the first month’s rent. That’s not how I choose to operate. But here’s what I really want you to understand. 🤝 Getting to know your community costs NOTHING. 🏠 Learning who needs housing costs NOTHING. 📋 Building relationships with referral partners costs NOTHING. And those relationships can become one of your biggest sources of residents. You can start doing this BEFORE you ever open your first independent living home. Inside my Profit & Purpose community, we talk about building the systems, relationships, and business behind successful housing operations. 💬 Housing operators: Do you pay referral fees, rely on direct referrals, or use both? #IndependentLivingHome #GroupHomeBusiness #SharedHousing #AffordableHousing #RealEstateEntrepreneur
My biggest challenge is finding a house in my community to start. The need for housing is so high that landlords doesn't want to agree to the sublease. I can't buy another house now. I understand that you have to be hands on in this business especially when first starting, so another location wouldn't work for me now. I honestly feel stuck with a lot of motivation. I already have most of the business structure but can't move forward.
