Islam is often presented as a religion of peace, but its history and texts deserve to be examined honestly. Muhammad’s life involved warfare and military campaigns, and the Qur’an contains passages concerning warfare against non-Muslims, including Qur’an 9:29 concerning certain Christians and Jews, and Qur’an 5:51 concerning Jews and Christians. I’m not saying every Muslim is violent. That would obviously be false. I’m saying that if you want to defend Islam as a religion of peace, then you also need to answer the difficult parts of its history, its texts and the violence committed in its name. Because eventually, beliefs produce fruit. And when Christians are being slaughtered in Nigeria, silence is not the answer. Pray for Nigeria. Stand with persecuted Christians. And don’t be afraid to expose Islam for its hypocrisy. You can add that section naturally like this: And then there’s the video itself. Muslims are openly praying in the middle of the road, blocking traffic, while presenting this as an expression of religious devotion. Yet the Bible gives a very different emphasis when it comes to prayer. Jesus says, “when you pray, go into your room and shut the door” (Matthew 6:6), warning against turning prayer into a public display for the sake of being seen. And this is where the hypocrisy becomes difficult to ignore. A religion that claims to have the perfect moral standard should be held accountable to that standard.
