ANNISTAN IS 14! 🥹💗 Why these kids insist on growing up so fast, I will never understand. I swear I blinked, and here we are celebrating 14 years of this incredible girl! If I have a twin, it’s this one. In almost every way, she reminds me of myself. She’s shy, humble, hardworking, kind, quietly hilarious, and has the sweetest heart. She’s the kind of daughter and sister you pray for, and I thank Yahuah every day that I get to be her mom. This girl was born to mother. She has loved babies for as long as I can remember. She begs for every new sibling, and when those babies arrive, she loves them with everything she has. And they know it. They cling to her because they feel how deeply she loves them. She doesn’t just enjoy babies; she genuinely has a heart for nurturing, caring for, and loving them. It’s something so beautiful to watch. And then there’s basketball. 🏀 This girl isn’t just a talented player; she’s a SMART one. She understands the game, sees the court, and knows how to play for her team. She never demands the ball, never needs the spotlight, and always gives her all. She’s currently the youngest player on her homeschool JV team, playing alongside her older sister, but you would never know it by watching her. She holds her own, and I cannot wait to see how much she grows this season! But what makes me proudest isn’t what she can do on a basketball court. It’s who she is when nobody is watching. Most nights, you’ll find her tucked away in her room, reading her Bible and finishing her schoolwork. She’s disciplined, determined, and when she sets her mind to something, she WILL accomplish it. She’s the child you rarely have to ask to do anything because chances are she’s already done it. She sees what needs to be done and does it without complaining or expecting recognition. She serves so quietly, and I hope she knows how much those little things mean to me. She’s also still my girly girl. 💕 She loves squishies, shopping, all things feminine, and somehow has the self-control to save her money even when there are a million things she wants to buy. 😂 She’s our shower singer, our curly-hair expert, and the girl who can be so quiet around others but has the funniest, most entertaining personality when she’s comfortable enough to let it shine. Behind closed doors, that shy little girl completely comes out of her shell! She loves Yahuah. She loves her family. She loves to give. She has a heart of gold, and there’s something so special about the way she moves through life without needing attention or applause. I think one of the hardest parts of motherhood is watching your children grow into the very people you’ve been praying they would become, while simultaneously wishing you could keep them little just a little longer. Fourteen years somehow feels like forever and not nearly enough time. Annistan, I see you. I see your quiet strength, your servant’s heart, your determination, and the way you love so deeply. I see the beautiful young woman Yahuah is shaping you into, and I couldn’t be more proud to be your mom. I know Yahuah has incredible plans for your life. And as much as my mama heart aches watching another year slip by, I am even more excited to see everything He has in store for you. Happy 14th birthday to my mini-me, my quiet little powerhouse, and one of the greatest blessings of my life. 💗 I love you more than you’ll ever know.
