@teauhhhh2: ICE agent Mario Alberto Morales, 33, was released on $30,000 bond Monday, November 2, after appearing in a Houston courtroom over allegations that he intentionally ran over a Mexican immigrant with his SUV. Morales turned himself in after a grand jury indicted him on a felony aggravated assault charge stemming from an October 10 immigration operation in Houston. According to prosecutors, Miguel Parra Hernandez, 48, was attempting to flee the operation when Morales allegedly drove his SUV toward him and struck him, causing serious leg injuries. Miguel, a construction worker who had reportedly lived in Houston for more than 30 years, was not the intended target of the operation and reportedly had no deportation order or known criminal record. During Monday's hearing, prosecutors requested a $75,000 bond, but the judge set it at $30,000. Morales was subsequently released, according to his attorney. Meanwhile, Miguel remains in a rehabilitation facility recovering from his injuries while under federal immigration custody. Morales, who joined ICE in 2025, faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted. His attorneys dispute allegations that h intentionally struck Miguel.
