No, CC was easy. ACOTAR? That was a slog. Simply because of the practical requirement to read everything for a new book I probably won’t read anymore of her stuff, because I LOATH ACOTAR.

It just might not be for you and that’s totally okay! I love CC maybe a tiny bit more than ACOTAR and I don’t like people judging others for not enjoying all 3 series. I’d give it another go and try and think of it not as a SJM book to begin with that way you can get involved

I devoured Crescent City. I struggled more with Throne of Glass tbh but I still liked it. I felt like the first 2 books just dragged and dragged. I haven't read further yet but I will as soon as they free up at the library.

It took me 3 tries to read CC1. I pushed thru the past time. But my friend just couldn’t do it. I told her just read CC3 to get ready for ACOSH. She did that and loved the book. Now that she has read ACOSH after CC3 she is going to go back and read CC1 and 2.

I loved CC1. The pacing was a bit slow in the first 20% but in my experience it picked up after that. It ended up being the best written (and maybe second favorite SJM book). I thought CC2 was fine and I hated CC3.

I really enjoyed the first book. The second book was OK. I rage read number three. You need to read them at least once to understand who the Asteri are and where they came from. I do think it will be important for the next trilogy of ACOTAR.
