@wusodream: Still looking for that 86... This is Emperor II by Ryuichi Katsumata and you probably heard this online as everyone shows off their 90s JDM car, while waiting that 86 to turn around the corner. But how did this song blow up online? Especially from an anime that has become known for its banging eurobeat, how did the subtle smooth jazz song become almost just as popular as the eurobeat hits. As much as I love the eurobeat styles that came from this series over the years I do feel like the sound files are under appreciated for how much they add. There's a ton of examples that help to elevate individual rivalries or add tension to the series and frankly I think it's what made first and second stage so special to so many people. #nostalgiacore #initiald

Lemme fix the rockers in the sr real quick then you can find me😂

PebbleJan🗿 :

And Kyoichi Sudo is such a well written character, he never intended to push the 86 to it's limits, he was just making Takumi realize that he will never reach his peak as long as he's just driving a well tuned 86 with a stock engine.

errrrrrriiic :

The Red Suns theme was iconic too. The jazziness and the classiness really encapsulates Keisuke and Ryosuke

good luck

Honestly, the Emperor I track from the same sound files is so much better imo. Shame it wasn't used in the show itself afaik
