Botw and TotK is NOT at the end of them all, they’re clearly not meant to be placed at all. They’ve never outright confirmed their placement, and that lack of confirming for nearly a decade (in my opinion) shows that they do not care to place them, hence standalone.

the third time line is not just, link dies, is only of he dies after freeing the six sages, so link dies during the final battle but the sages manage to seal ganondorf anyways.

it would be cool if they at some point had a game where the timelines actually merge so botw and totk makes more sense. where you can flip back and forth between the two timelines in the same area and you kinda break it and it merges
