Thatcher didn't help at all because if you remember correctly she tried to get close with thatcher and yes he lost a wife but mer lost her stepmother. He slapped her and went to the hospital all drunk and told her that he didn't want her at the funeral and kept mer from getting to know her other sisters. That is what pissed me off about him. They say Mer is the calm in a storm and how she gets everyone else moving and yet they all treated her like sh*t every chance they all got.
