I don’t get the “tech bros” part. Can someone please explain to me? Are those in tech going for 10 years before ILR?

Post study people is just two extra years, if you did your study for a year and post study for 2years. 3years gone already just pray to get a Cos to keep renewing your visa. Is just 7yrs left.

What ppl dont get with the 25,000 5 years care CoS exemption is that you only need to earn 25k for the year leading to your ILR if you were on transitional requirement. Transitional requirements apply for those who got their first CoS before April 2025. So you are good if you fail under transitional requirements as long as you were paid at least minimum wage and above what was on your original CoS.

So at the end, na we people wey get British spouse and children dey untouched, after all the insult we have received for stepping outside the community. This thing be like Noahs ark story 😂
An important distinction for anyone wondering whether their Student or Graduate visa years count towards ILR: the five-year Skilled Worker route and the ten-year long-residence route have different qualifying rules.
Under the current rules, Student and Graduate years may count towards long residence, even though they don't count towards the Skilled Worker five-year period.
The proposed settlement reforms make it especially important to check which rules are actually in force. Hope this helps clarify things!
