We call a handful of things “man jobs” in our home and those things include tying beautiful bows for holiday wreaths (after several hours of me trying I ended up in tears. Then I showed him what I needed and he had it done it 2 mins), tiny sculptures (he has made me an entire army of tiny snowmen), recreating diy holiday decor ideas I found online, sewing, making stencils so that even someone as unartistic as me can have painted holiday windows, and, of course, painting the most beautiful paintings.

I can crochet, and trim tree branches. you're correct crochet is harder. I don't generally stick up for men, but I will stick up for the trees: both crochet and trimming trees are skills. For the safety of the tree, please watch a video or two before you trim trees 🙏🫂

My favorite is I spackled in my house. And my family came over and was like who did that that’s great. I was like I did and they’re like How did you know how to do that? I was like spackle is the same consistency as frosting it was actually quite easy because the wall doesn’t tear apart like a cake does.

My husband made me really mad and I didn’t want him close to me but we were in the middle of hoisting a full size mattress 6ft up into my daughter’s loft bed. He left the room to let tempers settle and I hoisted that mattress by myself with some innovative engineering techniques. To this day I think he thinks I did some kind of witchcraft. Best thing ever because now he is a little scared of me and my infinite powers. 😉
