It’s been 8228 days since I left. I wasn’t a trad wife by any means but I had three kids and was in the worst possible position when I caught him cheating but guess what? I’m happy, my kids are happy and I’ve finally put all that behind me but I still have days of grief or what if’s. So good luck and just keep pushing one foot in front of the other.

it’s sooo heartbreaking to have to grieve the life you always envisioned for yourself but you’re doing it and you’re gonna make it through this. you should be SO proud of yourself- you’re really doing the damn thing. never underestimate your ability to navigate and thrive this next journey of your life! also you are seriously STUNNING. as a 27 year old, I look up to women like you SO much- thank you for sharing all of this w/ so much transparency and taking us on this journey with you. your children are so so lucky to have such a strong mama.

Check with your car insurance about your windshield. In Illinois it’s covered at no cost. I’m not sure if that’s the same in every state but worth checking out. You’re doing great!

I think you are really hitting on the concept that healing isn’t linear. It’s a slide bar sometimes and we travel up and down it throughout the process, but eventually spend a significant portion of time on end that feels whole again.

I think that’s the hard part. You still grieve the dream. You are so early in, but are doing so well, but there will be days that will just knock you out. Just know that there will be a light at the end of this dark tunnel.🥰

It took me a long while to fully heal and rebuild my life after my 1st husband left. But 20 years later, I’m happy, I have a beautiful second marriage, 5 great kids, built businesses and everything ❤️You’re only a month in and doing really great! The best is yet to come!
