@isaiah.431_: Prayer doesn’t have to begin with the perfect words. You don’t need a beautifully written paragraph, a certain amount of time, or a particular feeling before you can speak to God. Sometimes you know exactly what to pray. Other times, you sit down and your mind goes blank. If that’s you today, try starting with four simple things: 1. Thank God for something specific. It can be as ordinary as a meal, a conversation, or another day. 2. Ask for wisdom. James 1:5 encourages believers to ask God for wisdom. Think about one decision or responsibility in front of you. 3. Pray for someone else. Name a person and ask God to help you love them well. 4. Bring Him what you cannot control. Tell Him what you’re worried about without pretending you already have peace. You can pray in your own words. You can pray Scripture. You can sit quietly and begin again. And remember: prayer isn’t a technique for guaranteeing a particular outcome. It’s part of a real relationship with God. If you’ve been wanting a little more structure for your prayer time, I created a free 14-day Scripture and prayer guide called When You Don’t Know What To Pray.
