@yaqeeninstitute: Jeff Bezos has described a habit he calls the regret minimization framework. Picture yourself at 80, look back at your life, and make today’s decisions based on what that older version of you would regret. For a believer, the end point sits further out than 80: the highest level of Paradise, in the company of the Prophet ﷺ. Plan backward from there and ordinary choices, like who you marry or how you treat your parents, start to carry more weight. Starting from the bare minimum, and refusing to think about regret at all, sets you up to fail every time. Watch the full khutbah at the link in bio.
