Unfortunate news for Amex cardholders. 🚨 Multiple reports say Lululemon gift cards bought in store no longer trigger the $75 quarterly Lululemon credit on the Amex Platinum. The change appears to have started around October 5. It's the latest in a string of cuts to this credit over the past several months: 1️⃣ Lululemon stopped selling physical gift cards online 2️⃣ Gift cards went in-store only, in $50 increments, so you either left $25 of the credit unused or paid $25 out of pocket for two 3️⃣ Lululemon left Rakuten, the cash back portal that pays out in Amex points 4️⃣ Now in-store gift cards don't trigger the credit at all Amex's terms have always excluded gift cards. It looks like that rule is finally sticking. So the credit now has to go toward real product, and the only way left to earn on top of it runs through Capital One. There are two paths. With a Capital One card: open Capital One Offers, the shopping portal inside your Capital One account. Click the Lululemon offer and check out on lululemon.com with your Platinum. You get: ✅ Bonus Capital One miles from the portal ✅ 1x Amex points from the Platinum ✅ Your $75 quarterly credit Without a Capital One card: use Capital One Shopping, their free portal that's open to anyone. Click through, pay with your Platinum, and you earn cash back while the credit still triggers. Either way, enroll in the Lululemon benefit in your Amex account first, and skip gift cards since neither portal pays on them. Already bought a gift card since early October? Watch your account. If the credit doesn't post, use your Q4 credit on real product before December 31. Drop any questions in the comments and I'll answer them. Follow for more tips to supercharge your points accumulation, elevate your travel, and let's work smarter — not harder. 🚀 #PointsAndMiles #TravelHacks #Amex #Lululemon #CapitalOne
