@syracuse.com: @Syracuse’s new aquarium is already swimming with life! The tanks at Crouse Health Harborview Aquarium are filling up ahead of its anticipated opening in the coming weeks. From long-nosed gar and colorful cichlids to piranhas and tiny doctor fish, some of the first residents are settling into their new homes. And yes, visitors will eventually get to dip their hands into a tank filled with hundreds of tiny fish that nibble away at loose skin cells. The nearly $104 million Inner Harbor attraction is still under construction, and an official opening date hasn't been announced. Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon says that they have already sold over 3,000 memberships to date which are selling at a discount until opening day. You’ll build an aquarium no one is gonna go to but won’t provide jobs and put data centers up? Dumb. What are yall gonna do with the fish when the grid crashes for more than 90 days which is rumored to happen at some point, of all places Syracuse be the worst spot for any kid attraction, the costs to run that place in the winter is gonna be astronomical.
