Hi I showed my own hair from 2 years ago as my inspo pic at a new salon in the city I moved to. My first stylist did a foil balayage and toner appointment 1- stylist retired from job before I got in for another appointment First stylists coworker did my hair - Appt 2 was also a foil balayage + toner-she said I should come back in 1 month and come in to a 3rd round of foil balayage + toner After appointment 3 of foil balayage + toner- I verbally express concern over warm pieces- asked if I can get extensions in or something else creatively to combat the warmth-- stylist said that I need to accept that my hair is naturally too dark (level 4) to get to the inspo tone that I want and I cannot get it bleached anymore and must tone every 8 weeks instead. (I believe it may be because of health integrity of hair but she did not specifically say why I cannot get it bleached anymore) stylist did not recommend extensions or another route to acheivimg color I feel the toner feels dark but there also seems to be some warm pieces that are not lifting enough. If possible, I wanted to have my hair be the tone of my inspo picture (which is my own hair because in the past I have heard concerns of AI photos and fake photos as inspo photos and wanted to shut that down as a concern). Is it possible to achieve the inspo color with tape in or k-tip extensions or should I get a second opinion and a color correction appointment elsewhere? Should I bring this up to the salon owner at current salon to attempt a different solution? Or accept the hair as it is? I have fine high density high porosity 2A hair. Half Korean half Caucasian. 1st photo- in salon foils 2nd photo- inspiration photo 3rd photo- balayage appointment 2 4th photo- balayage appointment 3 Last appointment was yesterday (Feb 27th 2026) Advice preferred from stylists, salon owners, blonde specialists, or people who have experience going blonde with naturally dark hair. #blonde #k18 #balayage #advice #fyp
