They met with Jesus who’s God. Read in context. What Jesus was saying is, they didn’t see God (the Father) but the Son. Complete the verse. And there’s proof. Adam met Jesus in d garden. How did we know that. Genesis 3:8 the Voice/Word of God walking in the garden. Moses met Jesus (God) in the burning bush. There’s a figure who has a title the Angel of the Lord. He’s not an Angel. But that’s d name they use to describe him because he brings message (Word of God). In many cases in the Torah he identified Himself as Yahweh, Alpha and Omega. These are prerogatives of God alone. No Angel calls themselves Yahweh. Also Jesus said Abraham rejoiced to see my day. It’s that same figure The Word, The messager, The Angel of the Lord… that Abraham met. Glory to God. Before u start arguing read ur Bible.
