Oftentimes, we confuse having a conceptual understanding of something with actually experiencing it, but they are not the same. I can describe an apple as sweet, tart, and juicy, but that doesn’t mean you’re tasting, seeing, or feeling the apple yourself. The same applies to God and creation. You can understand the concept that we create our own reality without actually embodying the highest consciousness from which creation takes place. So when someone says the ultimate secret of the 33rd-degree Freemasons is that we create our own reality, I would ask: if those who supposedly hold this knowledge operate through fear, control, and division, have they truly understood the highest truth, or have they simply learned to manipulate the mechanics of creation? You can understand love without embodying love, and understand unity without experiencing oneness. Knowing the words is not the same as experiencing the truth they point toward. The highest truth isn’t simply that we create our reality, but that the consciousness from which we create determines what we bring into expression. We must bring the qualities we associate with God into the present moment and experience them, because knowing about the Creator is not the same as embodying the consciousness of the Creator.
